Three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Kristin Armstrong, is set to host the inaugural Chrono Kristin Armstrong (UCI1.2 event) on July 13th as part of a three-day weekend celebrating cycling in her hometown of Boise, Idaho. The only professional event of this caliber in the United States in 2018 will be open to UCI Elite women and men. The women and men will compete for equal prize money (14.5k split) with the total prize purse over the weekend of events being 40k. There will be an opportunity for a limited field of amateur riders to race the course prior to the Chrono, to try for their fastest time and compare to some of the best in the world in the time trial discipline, also known as ‘The Race of Truth.’
On Friday, the Chrono Kristin Armstrong will kick-off three days of cycling in the Treasure Valley around Boise, which will also include on Saturday, the Twilight Kids Ride with Kristin Armstrong and the 32nd Annual ASWB Downtown Boise Twilight Criterium, and on Sunday, the 63-mile Chicken Dinner Road Race. In addition, two special community events will be held in downtown Boise, where fans can attend the Chrono Kristin Armstrong Awards Ceremony and Twilight Criterium Rider Meet & Greet, both to be held at JUMP in downtown Boise. We know how important it will also have global media coverage thank you to our partners at VOX Women and Euro sport.
